Dear friend, the question of losing one's salvation is deeply important. The good news is that salvation is a gift from God, not earned by our works but given by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, "For by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory."
Once we truly come to Jesus, trusting Him as our Lord and Savior, He promises to never leave us. In John 10:28-29, Jesus says, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand." This assurance is rooted in the faithfulness of God, not in our ability to hold on to Him.
However, this certainty is not a license to live in sin. Genuine faith in Christ transforms our hearts and leads us to walk in obedience. Philippians 1:6 assures us that "He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ." This means God's work in you is ongoing, leading you to love and follow Him more each day.
So, rest in His promise and let your life reflect the wonderful grace you have received. Jesus is more than able to keep you safe in His loving embrace.
