Death is a reality that everyone faces, and the Bible speaks honestly about it. Scripture teaches that death entered the world through sin. Romans 6:23 tells us, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Death is a result of humanity's sin against God.
However, our loving God provides hope beyond death through Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 11:25, "I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." Through His death and resurrection, Jesus conquered death, offering eternal life to all who trust in Him.
For those who believe, death is not the end. It's a transition to a better life with Christ. Paul confidently declared in Philippians 1:21, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." This means that after death, believers are with the Lord, free from pain and sin.
If we confess our sins and trust in Jesus, we are promised eternal life. This promise gives peace and comfort in facing death, knowing that we belong to the Lord. Let us find hope in Christ, who is victorious over death, and offers us a life that never ends.
