Faith is trusting in and relying on Jesus Christ with all your heart. It means believing He is who He says He is—the Son of God who loves you, died for your sins, and rose again to give you eternal life. The Bible says, "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). This means faith is having a firm confidence in God's promises even if we can't see them with our eyes.
Faith isn't just agreeing with words; it's trusting Jesus with your life, turning from doing wrong, and following Him. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that we are saved by faith: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." This shows us that faith is a gift from God, not something we can earn ourselves.
To have faith is to rest in Jesus' loving arms, knowing He will take care of you. Even when things are difficult or uncertain, faith gives us the strength to keep holding on to Jesus because He is faithful. Trust Him; He will never leave you. Let your heart rest in the goodness and truth of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King.
