Why do I need Jesus?

Answers from the Bible, in your language.

You need Jesus because every person is created by God and for God, but our sin separates us from Him. Sin isn't just the wrong things we do; it's the condition of our hearts turning away from God. The Bible tells us that "all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Without Jesus, we're lost and face eternal separation from God.

But here is the beautiful news: God loves you so much that He sent Jesus, His Son, to make a way for you to be right with Him. Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross to take the penalty for your sins, and rose again, conquering death. He said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).

When you trust in Jesus, asking Him to forgive your sins and make you new, He promises to give you eternal life and make you a child of God. It's not about being perfect but about believing in the One who is perfect. Jesus is the Savior who offers forgiveness, hope, and a personal relationship with God. By receiving Him, you find true peace and purpose in this life and the promise of being with Him forever.
