To get to heaven, we must trust in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, with all our hearts. The Bible teaches us that we cannot reach heaven by our efforts or good deeds. We are all sinners who have fallen short of God's perfect standard. Romans 3:23 tells us, "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God."
But here is the good news: God loves us deeply and sent His Son, Jesus, to make a way for us. Jesus lived a sinless life and died on the cross to take the punishment we deserve. Then, He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death. John 3:16 proclaims, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
To be saved and have eternal life with God, we must turn away from our sins (repent) and believe in Jesus as our Savior and Lord. This means trusting Him entirely and following Him. Acts 16:31 says simply, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved."
Friend, this is the invitation open to you. Jesus graciously calls you to come, repent, believe, and follow Him. His arms are open wide to give you everlasting life.
